As I noted the recovery partition on the original hard disk is gone. The computer now has a new hard disk installed which has a fresh copy of Windows 7 on it. All other software drivers and software that I need is successfully installed with the exception of the one utility wconnect for mating the keyboard and mouse with the built-in receiver in the computer chassis.

I have been a long time Sony fanboy and supporter and feel like I'm being held hostage to repair my older computer after a failure. Every other driver and utility is available through the Sony Support website for this model, with this one exception.
